The American Cancer Society holds Relays for Life every year throughout the United States and the world.
The money raised from Relay for Life is used by the American Cancer Society for research and programs. The American

is a great website (a wealth of information) and will tell you more about Relay for Life, but also
has a ton of information on cancer from prevention to support to those fighting cancer and those that are survivors.
Rebels With a Cause (our Relay team name) is comprised of twenty-somethings trying to make a difference.
The Relay we're joining is at Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware. We're all excited to be going to our first
Relay for Life event, and hope that we can raise a lot of money and exceed our goal of raising $1000. Each of us has
been touched by cancer in one way or another. Many of us have lost a loved one or loved ones from cancer,
but quite a few of us are lucky enough to know a survivor, too. We hope that by raising money for the
American Cancer Society we'll be able to talk about more survivors. Knowing that the money we raise will go to
help so many people is a great feeling.
